Arbitrum Developers Bootcamp Batch 3 & 4 Kicks Off at Adamson University

Day 1: Future Blockchain Developers Take Their First Steps

The energy was palpable at Adamson University as the Arbitrum Developers Bootcamp Batch 3 and 4 officially kicked off on February 15, 2024. When mentors asked the room, "Who wants to be a Certified Arbitrum Developer?" — every single hand shot up.

The participants, composed of Computer Engineering (CpE) students who previously attended the "Be WebNext™ - Ready with Arbitrum" webinar, dove headfirst into the world of blockchain development on Day 1. The session covered a comprehensive range of foundational topics, including:

• Solidity — the primary programming language for Ethereum-compatible smart contracts
• Hardhat — exploring essentials of this popular Ethereum development environment
• Tools and Setup — understanding the development stack and environment configuration
• Smart Contract Deployment — techniques and best practices for deploying on-chain
• ERC20 Protocols — the standard for fungible tokens on the Ethereum ecosystem
• OpenZeppelin — leveraging battle-tested smart contract libraries for secure development

Despite the breadth of topics covered in a single day, students remained cool, focused, and engaged throughout the session — a testament to both their enthusiasm and the quality of guidance provided by BLOKC's mentors.

This two-week bootcamp is designed to equip students with the hands-on skills needed to build and deploy decentralized applications on the Arbitrum network. By the end of the program, all participants are on track to earn their Certified Arbitrum Developer credentials.
