The BLOKC brought double the energy to STI College Global City on September 9, 2023, hosting two landmark Solana events simultaneously — a back-to-back showcase of learning and building that set the stage for the next wave of Filipino blockchain developers.
Bahay ni SOL marked the first in-real-life (IRL) Hacking Sessions for the Solana Hyperdrive Global Hackathon, giving participants a dedicated space to ideate, collaborate, and build projects on the Solana blockchain. Running alongside it was the 4th Batch of the Solana Developers Bootcamp — a structured training program designed to equip aspiring developers with the skills needed to build on one of the fastest-growing blockchain ecosystems in the world.
What made this event truly special was the synergy between theory and practice. Bootcamp participants weren't just absorbing Solana development concepts in a classroom setting — they were also rolling up their sleeves and applying their skills to real-world projects as part of the Hyperdrive hacking sessions. This "learn and build" model reflects The BLOKC's core philosophy: that the best way to understand Web3 is to create within it.
The simultaneous events underscored The BLOKC's commitment to nurturing a strong, skilled, and collaborative Solana developer community in the Philippines. With each new bootcamp batch and hacking session, more Filipino builders are gaining the tools and confidence to compete on the global blockchain stage.
STI College Global City served as the perfect host venue, reinforcing the partnership between academia and the emerging Web3 ecosystem in the country.
As Hyperdrive hacking sessions continue and the 4th Solana Developers Bootcamp batch progresses, The BLOKC will be sharing insights, project highlights, and updates from the participants. Stay tuned to BlockHub for more coverage of this exciting journey.
