The BLOKC successfully concluded a Faculty Development Training program in partnership with Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila – College of Technology, marking a significant milestone in advancing blockchain education across the Philippines.
The program was designed to equip LPU Manila's faculty members with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to independently launch and facilitate their own blockchain courses. It followed a blended learning format, beginning with two days of immersive in-person sessions and continuing with a series of engaging online modules — offering both depth and flexibility for the participating educators.
Led by experienced BLOKC instructors, the training centered on the Solidity Track, giving faculty hands-on experience in one of the most widely used smart contract programming languages in the blockchain space. Participants walked away with practical skills, a deeper understanding of blockchain concepts, and comprehensive certification to validate their readiness to teach the subject matter to their own students.
This initiative reflects BLOKC's ongoing commitment to building a strong blockchain education ecosystem in the Philippines — not just by teaching students directly, but by empowering the educators who shape them. By equipping faculty with real-world Web3 competencies, the program creates a multiplier effect that can bring blockchain literacy to a much wider audience.
"Empowering educators is one of the most impactful ways to scale blockchain education," the initiative underscores. With certified faculty now ready to integrate blockchain into their curricula, LPU Manila is well-positioned to produce the next generation of blockchain-literate graduates.
Stay tuned for more updates as BLOKC continues to forge partnerships with academic institutions and expand the reach of Web3 education across the country. 🌐
