The BLOKC kicked off an exciting week of back-to-back blockchain talks, bringing Web3 education directly to students and young professionals across the Philippines.
Julius Patrick Fresco, Growth and Partnership Director of The BLOKC and Core Member and Business Development representative of Solana Superteam Philippines, took the stage at the Junior Blockchain Education Consortium of the Philippines – Baguio Maroons. His session introduced the fundamentals and opportunities within the blockchain space to a new generation of learners in Baguio.
Meanwhile, Engr. Mark Hugh Neri (also known as DevKodigo), CTO of The BLOKC, Tech Lead of Solana Superteam Philippines, and project lead of Selyo, delivered blockchain insights at two separate engagements: the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines – NCR chapter and the FEU Diliman Information Technology Trends Conference 2024. His talks brought technical depth and real-world blockchain applications to audiences of aspiring engineers and IT professionals.
These back-to-back sessions reflect The BLOKC's ongoing commitment to expanding Web3 literacy at the grassroots level — starting where it matters most: schools and universities. By engaging student organizations and academic institutions, The BLOKC aims to cultivate the next wave of blockchain developers, builders, and advocates in the Philippines.
"Let's introduce blockchain to a wider audience and start with schools and universities as far as possible."
With the blockchain landscape growing rapidly, initiatives like these are vital in ensuring that Filipino students are not just consumers of the technology but active participants and future contributors to the global Web3 ecosystem.
Stay tuned as The BLOKC continues to expand its reach across campuses and communities throughout the country. 🚀
