The BLOKC marked another major milestone in its mission to mainstream blockchain education in the Philippines with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Adamson University on September 12, 2023.
The signing ceremony was graced by Adamson University President Fr. Marcelo "Manny" V. Manimtim, C.M., underscoring the institution's strong commitment to embracing emerging technologies in its academic programs. Joining him were the Dean of the College of Engineering, the Chairpersons of the Department of Computer Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, and the Department of Information Technology, as well as the Director of the College of Continuing Development and the Head of the Adamson University Neo Science and Technology Support Office (AdUNEST).
This partnership paves the way for Adamson University to become one of the certified blockchain universities in the Philippines — a growing network of higher education institutions that integrate blockchain literacy and Web3 skills into their curricula through The BLOKC's programs.
Special recognition goes to Adamson University's ITSO-AdUNEST for spearheading this initiative. Their proactive efforts in forging the collaboration reflect the university's forward-thinking approach to preparing its students for the opportunities and challenges of the decentralized digital economy.
Through this agreement, Adamson University students and faculty can look forward to access to blockchain education resources, training programs, and community engagements facilitated by The BLOKC. The partnership reinforces the shared goal of both institutions to equip the next generation of Filipino technologists with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the Web3 landscape.
The BLOKC continues to expand its network of partner universities across the Philippines, building a stronger foundation for blockchain adoption and innovation in the country.
