The BLOKC, in partnership with Base Pilipinas, has officially opened submissions for the Campus Mini App Challenge — a builder competition inviting students and alumni across the Philippines to create onchain mini apps and compete for a share of a ₱50,000 prize pool.
Announced on August 6, 2025, the challenge is designed to give student builders a real opportunity to showcase their Web3 skills, represent their schools, and gain hands-on experience building on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2 network.
The challenge is open to students and alumni from any school in the Philippines. Whether you're a seasoned builder or just getting started with onchain development, this is your moment to build something meaningful and compete on a national stage.
Already have a project built on Base? Great news — existing projects are eligible for submission as well.
Submissions are now live through the BasedGigs platform. Participants can submit their mini app at:

The Base Pilipinas Facebook Group serves as the central hub for all challenge-related resources. Builders can find guides, tools, and development resources under the Guides section of the group:

Need a little extra help getting started? Regional Ambassadors are available to conduct workshops and provide mentorship to teams who need guidance. Participants can also reach out directly to the organizers through the Facebook Group.
Initiatives like the Campus Mini App Challenge are central to BLOKC's mission of building a thriving Web3 ecosystem in the Philippines — one student builder at a time. By lowering the barrier to entry and providing mentorship, tools, and community support, the challenge encourages the next generation of Filipino developers to explore blockchain technology in a practical, competitive setting.
If you're a student or alumnus ready to go Based, now is the time. Submit your mini app and put your school on the map. 🟦
