The BLOKC's Lead Mentor, Renzo Cabarios (known in the community as renzothenoob), took the stage at the Core </> Connect Bootcamp – Cebu Cohort, delivering an in-depth session on Core for Developers.
The bootcamp is a hands-on developer program designed for builders and tech enthusiasts eager to dive into Bitcoin-secured decentralized applications (dApps) on the Core blockchain. Participants gained practical knowledge on how to build and deploy on Core, a network that combines the security of Bitcoin with smart contract functionality.
The event was made possible through a strong collaboration between Core DAO Philippines and the Junior Blockchain Education Consortium of the Philippines (Googlers), with The BLOKC playing a key role in delivering technical mentorship on the ground in Cebu.
This partnership reflects a growing commitment to expanding Web3 developer education beyond Metro Manila and into the Visayas region, bringing blockchain-building opportunities closer to local tech communities.
With sessions led by experienced mentors like Renzo, attendees were walked through the fundamentals and developer tooling needed to start building on Core — equipping the next generation of Filipino blockchain developers with real, applicable skills.
The Cebu Cohort is part of a broader movement to cultivate a thriving Web3 builder ecosystem across the Philippines, and The BLOKC continues to be at the forefront of that mission.
Stay tuned for more updates from The BLOKC as we continue to bring world-class blockchain education to every corner of the country. 🇵🇭
