On May 3, 2025, the Hiraya Network hosted Dataverse: Bridging Data Science and Blockchain Digital Future — an educational event in collaboration with the UPLB Data Science Guild that brought together students and innovators eager to explore the intersection of data science and blockchain technology.
The event featured two insightful talks delivered by knowledgeable speakers from The BLOKC community:
Jerome Monte opened the session with a deep dive into the Fundamentals of Blockchain, followed by an exploration of the Practical Applications of Blockchain in Data Science. His talk laid a strong foundation for attendees, connecting core blockchain concepts to real-world data science use cases.
Renzo Cabarios then took the stage to discuss Blockchain Data: How to Gather Blockchain Data — a hands-on, practical session that equipped participants with the tools and knowledge to access and work with on-chain data.
From foundational insights to practical techniques, Dataverse gave attendees a well-rounded understanding of how blockchain technology is reshaping the data landscape. Participants walked away not only with new knowledge but also with the inspiration to apply what they learned in their own projects and ventures.
The event underscored The BLOKC's ongoing commitment to bringing Web3 education to Filipino students and communities — meeting learners where they are and empowering them to become builders of the decentralized future.
A big congratulations to the UPLB Data Science Guild and everyone who made Dataverse a success. Here's to more collaborations, more learning, and more building ahead! 🚀
