The Philippines is taking bold steps toward a blockchain-powered future, with the Department of Science and Technology – Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) at the forefront of bringing Web3 education to Filipino youth.
On September 20, 2024, DOST-ASTI hosted a groundbreaking forum aimed at introducing young Filipinos to the transformative potential of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The initiative emphasized real-world applications of these emerging technologies, fostering a culture of innovation among the next generation of Filipino tech leaders.
This forum builds on a significant milestone earlier in the year. On July 19, 2024, DOST-ASTI, The BLOKC, and Solana Superteam Philippines formalized a partnership through an official agreement to collectively advance blockchain technology and Web3 initiatives across the Philippines. The collaboration brings together government, industry, and education to create a stronger ecosystem for Web3 adoption in the country.
The BLOKC, as the Philippines' leading Web3 education platform, plays a key role in this initiative — equipping learners with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a decentralized world. Together with Solana Superteam Philippines, the partnership ensures that cutting-edge blockchain resources and mentorship reach communities nationwide.
By targeting the youth and anchoring education in practical, real-world applications, this initiative lays the groundwork for a new generation of Filipino builders, developers, and innovators ready to contribute to the global Web3 landscape.
"This initiative is all about real-world applications and fostering innovation for a brighter future."
Stay tuned for more updates as The BLOKC continues to drive blockchain education and Web3 adoption across the Philippines. 🚀
