The BLOKC has officially launched UNBLOKC Hackathon 2023, proudly billed as the first and longest-running hackathon series in the Philippines. The milestone event kicked off with a launch event held at Tier One Entertainment, followed by the first in-person (IRL) mentoring session at Launch Garage Innovation Hub.

After receiving entries from teams across the country, The BLOKC selected 16 teams representing some of the Philippines' leading academic institutions to compete in this landmark blockchain and Web3 competition. The qualifying schools are:

The hackathon series is presented by The BLOKC and Okada Manila, with a strong roster of partners backing the initiative. Industry partners include DivinaLaw, Arcus, Proudcloud, Pale Blue Earth PH, Skullcandy Philippines, Tier One Entertainment, SEDIE COFFEE, and MetaCare. Acceleration and incubation support comes from Launchgarage, Plug and Play Tech Center, Archipelago Labs, and New Energy Nexus Philippines. Media partners Women in Blockchain Philippines, Block Tides, and JMC Ventures are amplifying the event's reach, with Black Magic News serving as the official live stream partner.
