Software Tester Intern

Artisam Labs

Open
RemoteInternship

Artisam Labs is a builder studio working on modern web, blockchain and AI products. We're taking on a Software Tester Intern to add testing capacity to one of our active project teams. You'll work under a QA Engineer, testing each sprint's scope on the staging environment against agreed acceptance criteria. Your job is to find problems before a client does. That means executing assigned test cases, exploring beyond them, and writing up what you find clearly enough that a developer can reproduce it without asking you a follow-up question. We use AI tools in our day-to-day work, and familiarity with them is a strong plus, though not required. Used well they speed up test case drafting, data generation and report writing. The judgment about what to test, and whether something is actually broken, stays yours. This is a mentored role. You'll be briefed on what to cover and your reports will be reviewed before they go to the wider team. You'll pick up test case design, defect reporting, regression testing and how quality decisions get made under a real deadline. Work setup: Hybrid — primarily remote, with attendance at face-to-face meetings when necessary. What you'll do Execute assigned test cases against the staging environment Run smoke and sanity checks when new work is promoted to staging Perform exploratory testing to catch what scripted cases miss Log defects with steps to reproduce, expected vs actual behaviour, environment and severity Retest fixes and confirm closure Test across the browsers, devices and screen sizes relevant to the product Carry out basic usability and responsiveness checks on user-facing work Help maintain the regression suite and keep test documentation current Capture screenshots or short clips of defects and working features Contribute to the sprint's test report and flag anything risky before the deadline

Software Developer Intern

Artisam Labs

Open
RemoteInternship

Artisam Labs is a builder studio working on modern web, blockchain and AI products. We're taking on a Software Developer Intern to join one of our active project teams. You'll work directly under a Lead Developer on scoped, well-defined tickets drawn from the team's current sprint. Expect to write real code that ships: features, bug fixes, small services and UI work, all reviewed before it goes anywhere near staging. You'll take part in daily standups, sprint planning, mid-week reviews, sprint reviews and retrospectives, so you'll see how a delivery cycle actually runs rather than just the coding part of it. We use AI tools in our day-to-day work, so familiarity with coding assistants and similar tooling is a strong plus, though not required. What matters more is that you understand the code you ship and can explain it. We'll teach you how we use these tools well. This is a mentored role. You're not expected to arrive knowing everything. You are expected to ask early when you're stuck, keep your issues updated, and act on code review feedback. Work setup: Hybrid — primarily remote, with attendance at face-to-face meetings when necessary. What you'll do Pick up assigned GitHub issues and see them through to a reviewable pull request Write clean, readable code that follows the conventions already in the codebase Test your work locally before requesting review Participate in code review and act on the feedback you receive Write basic automated tests for the work you produce Fix defects raised against your own work Help document setup steps and technical decisions Attend sprint ceremonies and give a clear daily status Raise blockers and slippage early, not at the deadline
